Following the questioning of the suspects, the Prosecutor in charge of the case will put forward a Motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina seeking the measure of custody to be ordered against all of the eight suspects, who were deprived of liberty yesterday.
Custody will be proposed for the reasons set forth in Article 132, item b) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely, due to the danger that, if at large, the suspects might hinder the inquiry, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accessories.
The suspects in this case are under investigation due to the commission of the criminal offence of War Crimes against Prisoners of War, as referred to in Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the commission of the criminal offence of War Crimes against Civilian Population, as referred to in Article 173 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina resumes its intensive investigation in this case.
