INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF PERSONS

Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against:

-  TARIK MAŠIĆ, born in 1996 in Tuzla, in Tuzla Municipality, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This accused person is charged with coming to Šekovići in a rented vehicle, on 3 December 2017, in order to carry out a previous arrangement; there, in the woods, four persons from the territory of Kosovo, who had previously entered Bosnia and Herzegovina illegally and without necessary documents, were hidden and waiting for him. He transported them in the direction of Vogošća and he attempted to acquire unlawful material gain for himself in the amount that was previously arranged.  

He was prevented in his further intentions and deprived of liberty during the control by the police officers of the Police Station in Olovo, whereas the thus found persons from the territory of Kosovo were handed over to the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs for further processing.

This accused person is charged to have committed the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons, as referred to in Article 189, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
