THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH ISSUED AN INDICTMENT FOR ILLICIT TRADE OF MEDICINAL PRODUCTS AND MEDICAL DEVICES

Prosecutor of Department III of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against Simo Mitrović, born in 1990 in Bijeljina, a citizen of BiH.  

The accused is charged with having, in the second half of January 2015, without the permission of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, bought medicinal products and medical devices in Serbia, the possession and trade of which requires specific permission of the competent institutions.

Officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH have, during the search of the vehicle performed on 21 January 2015 in Ugljevik, found and seized a large amount of medicinal products and medical devices intended for further sale.

The accused Simo Mitrović is charged with having bought and sold goods without the permission prescribed by the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina required as the trade of such goods is prohibited or restricted, thereby committing the criminal offense of Illicit Trade referred to in Article 212 (1) of the CC BiH.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
