INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN GACKO

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following person:

-        Branko KOPRIVICA AKA Bumbar and Bajo born in 1939 in Gradina, municipality of Gacko, a citizen of BiH.

The accused is charged with having, during the war and armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina between members of the RS Army and members of the Army of the RBiH in the territory of the municipality of Gacko, while acting in his capacity first as member of the paramilitary formation Beli Orlovi /White Eagles/ and then member of the RS Army, committed the murder of two ethnic Bosniak civilians in Gacko municipality during the months of June and July 1992,  and with having acted contrary to the provisions of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention  relative for the Protection of Civilian Persons at Time of War.

The accused is charged with having committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH.
