As part of the Plea Agreement, along with the sentence of imprisonment, the accused will pay the compensation to the aggrieved person whom he mistreated.
After the filing of the Indictment in the case against Miroslav Perić, the accused has signed a Plea Agreement and fully admitted his guilt for the commission of the criminal offence he is charged with by the Indictment.
This accused person is charged to have acted inhumanely and participated in the mistreatment – violence against one prisoner of Bosniak ethnicity, which resulted in a severe physical injury, in 1993, in the Vojno camp near Mostar, while the accused was a member of the police.
In accordance with this Plea Agreement, the sentence of imprisonment for a term of one (1) year has been proposed in regard of this accused person, along with the obligation to pay the compensation for the damages to the accused in the amount of BAM 10,000, which he will pay prior to the pronouncement of the criminal sanction.
This accused person, who was a young adult at the time of the commission of the said crime, has fully admitted his guilt and expressed his remorse for the committed criminal offence, and he gave a statement thereof in the courtroom.
The aggrieved party in this case has been informed about the Plea Agreement and he gave his consent to the Plea Agreement and the proposed sanction.
By virtue of signing this Plea Agreement, the purpose of punishment will be achieved and the aggrieved party will get compensation for the mistreatment he suffered.
