INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS

Seizure of about 20 kilograms of marijuana destined for an illegal drug market in Austria.

Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following person:

- Goran Miljanović, born in 1976 in Bijeljina, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The accused is charged with having, on 29 May 2017 for the purpose of further distribution, transported narcotic drug ‘Cannabis’ across the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina towards the Republic of Croatia and further towards the final destination in Republic of Austria.

The indictment alleges that the said drug in the amount of 20 kilograms was packed in 25 individual packages, wrapped with PVC foil and hidden in hiding places in the Volvo truck with the Krone trailer and BiH registration plates, owned by a legal entity from Ugljevik. The drug was detected during the inspection and detailed search of the vehicle by the officials of the BiH Border Police at International border crossing Gradiška, at the exit from BiH.

The accused is charged with having committed the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 (1) of the CC BiH

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
