MEETING OF AN ANTI TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS AND ILLEGAL MIGRATION TASK FORCE HELD AT THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH

The meeting was chaired by the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, Gordana Tadić, and its central topics were current operations in the fight against trafficking in persons and illegal migrations being carried out in BiH, as well as those carried out in the region and abroad in cooperation with partner agencies.

Representatives of prosecution, security, police and tax agencies from the State, Entity and Brčko District level that are involved in the detection and prosecution of these crimes participated at the meeting of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Illegal Migration Task Force.

The central topics of the meeting were current operations conducted with the aim of detecting, preventing and prosecuting perpetrators of these criminal offenses, as well as international cooperation in these operations and other current topics related to the protection of victims of trafficking in persons.

Activities aimed at preventing illegal migration across the territory of BiH were also discussed at the meeting as that is very important from the aspect of border protection.
