At this meeting, the work and results of judicial institutions were presented, together with the possibilities for communication and cooperation of citizens and local communities with judicial institutions.
A local community debate was held in Doboj, in organization of the Republika Srpska Helsinski Committee, and with the participation of the representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Criminal Defence Section (OKO) of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The representative of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina was Mr. Boris Grubešić, Head of the Public Relations Department, and he presented the history and internal organization of the institution of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its results and activities conducted in cooperation with the local community, as well as with associations of victims and non-governmental sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Around thirty (30) representatives of the local community participated in the debate, including the representatives of governmental institutions, judiciary, police structures, as well as representatives of academic institutions, non-governmental sector and media.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting activities aimed at cooperation with the local community, in order to provide quality information about the judicial institutions in the local community to citizens from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to present the models of communication and cooperation with the judiciary.
