PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AND STATE INVESTIGATION AND PROTECTION AGENCY - SIPA ARE WORKING INTENSIVELY TO CLARIFY ALL CIRCUMSTANCES RELATED TO FINDINGS ON SURVEILLANCE OF THE ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR
With regards to the recent events concerning surveillance and interception of communication between the Acting Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić and the Vice President of the HJPC, Ružica Jukić, which have been interpreted differently in the public, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH would like to, following numerous inquiries about these events, inform the public that:
Acting on the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA submitted a report on undertaken actions, which stated, inter alia, that the internal control within the SIPA did not determine that the agency undertook any action in relation to the aforementioned event of covert following and surveillance of communication of the aforementioned persons. We emphasize that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will, in cooperation with SIPA and, if necessary, other police agencies, continue to conduct all necessary investigative actions in order to clarify the circumstances and facts vital for making a prosecutorial decision, and the public will be informed.
As of its inception in 2004, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and SIPA have had good, direct daily cooperation and have been working together for 13 years to fight all forms of crime within their legally established competencies.
