EXHUMATION COMPLETED IN BRATUNAC MUNICIPALITY

At the locations of Kameničko Brdo and Glogova-Tatar, in Bratunac Municipality, the process of exhumation/clearing up of the terrain was completed at two separate sites and incomplete mortal remains of at least three persons and a complete skeleton of one person were found.  The identity of the victims whose mortal remains were found will be determined in a subsequent procedure.

The supervision and coordination of the exhumation process was carried out by an Investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mortal remains were transported to the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla, where further forensic processing and identification of the victims whose mortal remains were found will be done.

The exhumation process was conducted with the participation of the officers of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, as well as an expert forensic pathologist and police officers of the Police Station in Bratunac.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with the institutions involved in the process of tracing and identification of missing persons, continues with its intensive activities aimed at finding missing persons in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
