BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE TO RESUME ACTIVITIES AIMED AT FIGHTING TERRORISM AND EXTREMISM

Upon the order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) are conducting searches of certain premises which can be brought into connection with persons close to extreme groups and persons being in foreign battlefields of Syria and Iraq.

The searches are being conducted for the purpose of finding illegal weapons, ammunition or explosive substances, and some persons will be brought in for questioning.

The searched premises can be brought into connection with a person who was deported to Bosnia and Herzegovina from the territory of the Republic of Austria.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with its partner agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, is undertaking continuous activities to fight the threat of terrorist activities.
