PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH FILED A CUSTODY MOTION FOR THE SUSPECT DETAINED IN BOSANSKA GRADIŠKA IN A BIH BORDER POLICE OPERATION; SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF NARCOTIC DRUGS WAS SEIZED

Following the questioning of the suspect, a Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the BiH Prosecutor’s Office will refer to the Court of BiH a motion for remand in custody of the suspect G.M. (1976), BiH citizen.

The suspect was detected at International Border Crossing Bosanska Gradiška by police officers of the BiH Border Police, in cooperation with the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), when attempting to exit BiH.

During the control of the truck at the border, the police found and seized 22 kg of narcotic drug Marijuana.

The suspect is charged with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the CC BiH-

Remand in custody for a period of one month is proposed for the suspect on grounds stipulated in Article 132 (b) of the CPC BiH i.e. due to risk that if released, the suspect might interfere with the investigation, suppress evidence and influence witnesses or accomplices.
