INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR CRIMINAL OFFENSE OF ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE PRODUCTS AND UNAUTHORIZED STORAGE OF GOODS

Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following person:   

- Hilmo MAŠIĆ, born in 1972 in Kopice, Maglaj municipality, citizen of BiH

According to the indictment Mašić is charged with having, during the period from March to July 2015, dealt with the illicit traffic of excise goods i.e. with having repeatedly sold tobacco and cigarettes that were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The accused has illegally put into circulation tobacco products and has stored goods, on which tax is paid under the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in his house and auxiliary facilities which he used but which are not registered for this purpose in accordance with the law. 

During the search, the authorized officials found and seized fine-cut tobacco in the amount of about 76 kg and 6,000 packs of cigarettes.

The accused Mašić is charged with the criminal offense of Illicit Trade in Excise Products referred to in Article 210a (1) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in concurrence with the criminal offense of Unauthorized Storage of Goods under Article 210b (1) of the same Code.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
