PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA INFORMED - THE EXTRADITION OF ELFETA VESELI FROM SWITZERLAND TO BE CARRIED OUT SOON

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been informed by its partner institutions that the authorities of the Swiss Confederation granted the extradition of the suspect Elfeta Veseli (born in 1960) to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The said suspect is under investigation for war crimes committed in the area of Zvornik, in 1992.

The transportation of the aforementioned suspect to Bosnia and Herzegovina can be expected soon, after the technical requirements have been met.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina extends its gratitude to the police and judiciary of the Swiss Confederation for their cooperation in locating and extraditing the suspect in question.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is undertaking intensive activities to prevent that war crimes remain unpunished due to suspects’ flight abroad, and it is carrying out activities with its partner institutions worldwide aimed at detecting, locating and extraditing war crimes suspects to the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
