At the sites of Donji Mratinjci and Čizmići, in Bratunac Municipality, an exhumation process was completed, resulting in incomplete mortal remains of at least two persons, which were found at two separate locations.
The exhumation process was supervised and coordinated by an Investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Incomplete mortal remains were found and identities of the victims whose mortal remains were found will be determined in a subsequent process. The mortal remains will be transported to the Commemorative Center in Tuzla for further forensic processing and identification.
The exhumation process was conducted with the participation of officers of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, an expert forensic pathologist and police officers of the Police Station in Bratunac.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with institutions involved in the process of tracing and identifying missing persons, continues with its intensive activities aimed at finding missing persons in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
