Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against:
- UGLJEŠA RAJAK, born on 31 August 1981 in Zenica, resident of Bijeljina, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The accused is charged with smuggling across the customs line fifty-two (52) mobile phones of the world’s most famous brands and with high selling price and the estimated market value of cca. BAM 30,000, in late evening of 19 October 2016, at Rača Border Crossing, while entering BiH customs area from the direction of the Republic of Serbia. He hid the goods inside the truck he drove and failed to declare the import of such goods to the authorized customs officials, whereby he acted in violation of Article 37 of the Law on Customs Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The above-mentioned mobile phones were found and temporarily seized by the authorized officials of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during their inspection of the truck.
The accused is charged with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods, as referred to in Article 214, paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
