Acting Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić and her associates met with the delegation of Judicial and Security Institutions and Embassy officials of the Republic of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Mr. Frederic Doidy, Director of the French Central Office for Combating Organized Crime (OCLCO).
The central topics of the meeting were mutual cooperation in the fight against terrorism and the fight against smuggling of arms, ammunition or dual-use products, which are the areas in which we have already established cooperation in specific cases. Also discussed were efforts to combat other criminal offenses of cross-border crime.
The Prosecutor´s Office of BiH cooperates with partner institutions from the Republic of France and other EU countries, in the framework of joint operations in the fight against terrorism related to participation of foreign fighters at the battlefields of Syria and Iraq, as well as in the fight against the smuggling of arms, explosives, ammunition and other military equipment left over from the war in BiH.
We have cooperated with French Authorities in the fight against human trafficking and illegal migration in the context of the case codenamed ’’CD’’.
The modalities of further cooperation of law enforcement agencies were agreed at the meeting.
