Mr. Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, met today with Mr. Zoran Galić, Director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the premises of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Director Galić and his Deputy discussed the ongoing activities with the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as their joint actions. On that occasion, Director Galić and his Deputy said that all 2,400 border police officers would be made available to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to fight corruption, terrorism and organized crime.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina have good and intensive cooperation in the prosecution of criminal offenses relating to the smuggling of persons, unauthorized international sale of narcotic drugs, smuggling of goods and other criminal offenses within the purview of these institutions.
The recent action codenamed Mreža /Network/ was aimed at detecting and prosecuting perpetrators of criminal offenses, members of the Indirect Taxation Authority and Border Police, respectively, all of which demonstrates determination of these institutions to fight corruptive criminal offenses.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina are continuing their joint activities and many investigations are currently being conducted both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the international level.
