A WAR CRIMES INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST SREĆKO BOŠKOVIĆ

Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has issued an Indictment against the following person: 

A WAR CRIMES INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST SREĆKO BOŠKOVIĆ

Srećko Bošković aka Srećo, born on 09 May 1975 in Živinice, a resident of Zvornik.

The accused is charged with acting, as a member of the Army of Republika Srpska, in violation of the provisions of the Geneva Conventions and killing one Bosniak civilian person who was not a member of any military formation not was that person in any way participating in military operations.   

The Indictment alleges that, in mid-July of 1995, in the place of Đulići in the Municipality of Zvornik, at the site of Crvena Brana where soldiers of the RS Army conducted mass executions of Bosniaks captured after the fall of Srebrenica, he approached a boy who was not more than 15 years of age, and told him that he was free and he could leave. 

When the boy started to walk away towards the woods, the accused Bošković went after the boy and shot at him from his automatic weapons aiming at his head and killed him. 

The victim’s body was then thrown in the mass grave containing the bodies of other executed victims.

The accused Bošković is charged with the commission of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians, as referred to in Article 173 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
