PURSUANT TO THE ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH A WAR CRIMES SUSPECT WAS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN MOSTAR AREA.

Pursuant to the order of a Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes members of SIPA arrested Turajlić Ibro, born on August 15, 1960 in Čapljina.

The aforementioned suspect is under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against Prisoners of War.

He is, in particular, suspected of having committed the criminal offense of war crimes, while acting in his capacity as a member of the Territorial Defense in June 1992 in the area of Počitelj, by way of killing an ethnic Serb prisoner VRS /RS Army/ member.

The suspect will be questioned by the Assigned Prosecutor following which a motion for order of prohibiting measures will be filed with the Court of BiH to include a ban on meeting with witnesses and suspects in this case.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH continues its investigation in this case.
