A Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes issued an indictment against the following persons:
1. Stanarević Željko, born on September 30, 1969 in Bihać
2. Dopuđa Dragan aka "Pigo", born on September 2, 1973 in Bihać.
The accused are charged with having participated, in their capacities as VRS /RS Army/ members, in a widespread and systematic attack of the army and police directed against the Bosniak population in the area of Ripač Ćukovi Orasac, Klis and Kulen Vakuf and with having acted contrary to the provisions of international humanitarian law by persecuting and personally participating in the killings of Bosniak victims.
The accused are charged with having arrived, together with other VRS members, in the summer of 1992, to the location of the camp, which was located within the IMT tractor service where a public security station Ripač was located and where more than 70 Bosniak civilians from that area were illegally incarcerated with the intent to kill the captured civilians only because of their ethnicity. The accused and their accomplices have taken out and tied 11 prisoners who were then driven away on a truck to the location of a natural pit known as Bezdana located in Hrgar, where the accused fired their weapons and personally participated in the killings of prisoners.
After the war ended, during the exhumation carried out in 1997 the remains of 83 victims were unearthed at Bezdana pit.
The accused are charged with having committed Crimes against Humanity under Article 172 of the CC BiH.
The indictment includes a list of 27 prosecution witnesses and experts which the prosecution intends to question and a significant amount of evidence with almost 200 exhibits.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
