INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST ARAZ JUKIĆ (1966) FOR ABUSE OF OFFICE

A Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against Araz Jukić - born on July 22, 1966 in Goduša - Sapna municipality, residing in Tuzla, BiH citizen.

The accused is charged with having abused office and official authority while acting as the commander of the BiH Border Police Unit in Zvornik, by way of requesting and accepting BAM 5.000,00 in order to intercede and negotiate with managing officers of BiH Border Police who were making decisions in disciplinary actions during 2012 when disciplinary proceedings were initiated  against an employee of the BiH Border Police who was suspended for violation of duties in order to arrange that the employee does not receive the disciplinary sanction of termination of employment but a more lenient disciplinary sanction - a fine.

The accused is charged with having abused his power and authority thus committing the criminal offense of Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 220 of the CC BiH.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
