INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST 3 PERSONS FOR ABUSE OF OFFICE OR OFFICIAL AUTHORITY AND FOR ACCEPTING GIFTS AND OTHER FORMS OF BENEFITS. AMONG THOSE CHARGED ARE OFFICIALS OF THE BIH BORDER POLICE

A Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption issued an indictment against the following persons:

-   Jukić Araz, born  on July 22, 1966 in Goduša - Sapna municipality, residing in Tuzla, BiH citizen,

-  Padžić Samir aka "Padžija", born on  June 10, 1973  in Vukovije Donje - Kalesija Municipality, residing in Živinice, BiH citizen, and

-  Gavrić Radan, born on September 8, 1977 in Zvornik, residing in Karakaj - Zvornik municipality, a citizen of BiH and Serbia.

The accused are charged with having taken advantage of their office or authority by exceeding the limits of official authority or failing to execute their official duty on December 19, 2012 in Zvornik, while working in their respective capacities - Jukić Araz as the Commander of the Border Police Unit (BPU) and Padžić Samir as the Sector leader  of BPU Zvornik, to intercede and arrange that the suspect Radan Gavrić - owner of an auto service "GAVRIĆ" LLC Karakaj wins the tender as a subcontractor tasked with repairs and maintenance of official vehicles of BPU Zvornik for an agreed monetary reward thus accepting gifts and other forms of benefits.

Consequently, the accused Jukić Araz and Padžić Samir are charged with the criminal offense of Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 220 and the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefits under Article 217 of the CC BiH while the accused Gavrić Radan is charged with the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefits under Article 218 of the CC BiH.

The indictment will be forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
