Students of the University of Louisville, Kentucky (U.S.) visited the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
The international students have expressed a desire to visit the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, within the framework of their visit to the judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to learn about the background and inception of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, its results as well as the internal organization of the institution.
The students in question are from the Department of Psychology where they attend a program on transitional justice, reconciliation and dealing with the past. Under the program, the students are in a study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina where they are to learn about the practical activities undertaken in Bosnia and Herzegovina on rebuilding the society and trust after conflict.
The Head of the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH - Boris Grubešić addressed the students and spoke about the origins and role of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in the judicial system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the results achieved in the prosecution of war crimes, organized crime, corruption, terrorism and other cases prosecuted by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
His presentation also included information about the international cooperation of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH with judicial institutions in the region, Europe and the world.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is open for cooperation with the academic community and students. Throughout the years it has kept good cooperation and an open door for the academic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as international scientific institutions.
