Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Vukoman Laketić - born on June 12, 1957 in the village of Slatina, Municipality of Pljevlja - Montenegro, where he resides, with prior convictions, citizen of the Republic of Montenegro - charging him with the criminal offence of Preventing an Official Person in the Exercise of Official Duty under Article 241a, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of BH.
The indictment charges Vukoman Laketić with having used force on October 7, 2013 at about 1:20 p.m. at the border crossing Vitina - KTN Borje - municipality of Foča, Bosnia and Herzegovina while entering BiH from Montenegro in a motor vehicle "Nissan", in the aim to prevent an official of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the exercise of security duty, thereby causing minor bodily injuries to an official person.
As alleged in the indictment, once the authorized officers of the Border Police carried out the control of persons and vehicle by searching the electronic database and determined that an arrest warrant was issued for the accused by Interpol Sarajevo, the accused was asked to enter the police station for further verifications.
When the officers attempted to detain the accused while acting upon an arrest warrant he got up under the pretext of wanting to drink some water, with the aim to prevent official persons in the exercise of security duty, then pushed and kicked the police officers in order to run away.
Following the event he was soon caught and arrested. While attempting to prevent the accused from escaping a police officer sustained minor physical injuries.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
