Suspect Mijomir Tomanović gave himself up to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tomanović is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and is one of the alleged members of an organized criminal group engaged in the smuggling of Marijuana "Skunk" within the scope of a case codenamed "Mistral", which is handled by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
After questioning the suspect, the Assigned Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption filed a motion to the Court of BiH to order prohibiting measures providing for the ban on leaving the place of residence, ban on meeting with the suspects in the case, as well as periodic reporting to the relevant police station.
Within the framework of the coordinated operation carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of the RS MoI have, in cooperation with Cantonal MoIs of the Federation, discovered and seized a smuggled delivery of 67.5 kilograms of Marijuana "Skunk".
The worth of the seized quantity of Marijuana "Skunk" on the illegal narcotics market is evaluated at several hundred thousand BAM.
During the course of the "Mistral" operation significant international cooperation was achieved with the police and judiciary of Montenegro and Austria. The operation demonstrates the determination of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and Law Enforcement Agencies of our country to counter international organized criminal groups smuggling large quantities of narcotics.
