Prosecutor of the Department III has issued an Indictment against Džihan Bukvić, born on 23 February 1946 in Sarajevo, where he also resides, citizen of BiH, for Impermissible Use of Copyrights.
The Indictment charges Džihan Bukvić with multiplying illegally several author’s works - schoolbooks and university books and textbooks of various authors, during 2011, on the business premises of ‘GRAFO-ART’ d.o.o. /Limited Liability Company/ Sarajevo photocopying shops, seated at 7 Bistrik Street and at 4 Isevića Sokak Str. in Sarajevo, owned by him, without the authorization of the author or other holder of copyright or person entitled to give such authorization, knowing that those were illegally multiplied copies, thus acting in violation of relevant legal provisions pertaining to copyrights and related rights in BiH, whereby he committed the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights, as referred to in Article 243, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
On 16 June 2011, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency – SIPA conducted the search of business premises of the ‘GRAFO-ART’ photocopying shops and confiscated one computer case and a large number of multiplied author’s works found on the spot- books and textbooks, for which multiplication and distribution the accused did not have authors’ authorization, and expert evaluation of the confiscated computer showed that a larger number of books and textbooks was stored in that computer in an electronic form.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
