The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Milenko Gavrić, born on November 4, 1965 in Badovinci, Republic of Serbia, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia.
The accused is charged to have on July 26, 2013 evaded customs control and illegally imported large quantity of drugs and medications, as well as cosmetics and perfume, into Bijeljina from the Republic of Serbia, without approval of the competent Agency for medicinal products and medical devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the border crossing Popovi near Bijeljina, the accused failed to report that there are goods in his vehicle which require approval of the relevant BiH authorities for import. After having entered Bosnia and Herzegovina he was observed by the BiH Border Police patrol which caught up with him. The patrol established his identity, arrested him and seized the smuggled goods worth about BAM 14,000.
The accused is charged with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214 of the CC BiH.
The indictment, along with supporting evidence, was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
