EXHUMATION OF THE REMAINS OF A VICTIM KILLED DURING THE PAST WAR CARRIED OUT IN SARAJEVO SETTLEMENT - POFALIĆI

An exhumation was carried out at the location of Pofalići, - Novo Sarajevo Municipality under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. A fragment of the remains of one person was unearthed.

Following the recovery the remains shall be transported to the ossuary of PUC „Sveti Marko“ East Sarajevo for forensic processing i.e. collection of bone samples for DNA analysis in order to determine the identity of the victim.

The exhumation process was supervised by an Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, a doctor specializing in forensic medicine, workers and machinery of PUC „Sveti Marko“ East Sarajevo and  Police Officers of SC MoI.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing in BiH, continues its activities in the process of tracing and exhuming the remains of the missing in all parts of BiH.
