Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against four persons charging them with illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs.
The indictment was issued against the following persons:
- A.A. (1989) from Ljubljana, a citizen of the Republic of Slovenia,
- D. A. (1985) from Ljubljana, a citizen of the Republic of Slovenia,
- M. M. (1980) from Bužim, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and
- N. M. (1986) from Bužim, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused are charged to have on October 7, 2013 at about 4 p.m. in the area of Novi Grad municipality, as a group of people organized for the purpose of illicit international purchase and sale of narcotic drugs, attempted to illegally export from Bosnia and Herzegovina into the Republic of Croatia and then further into the Republic of Slovenia some 14,5 kilograms of narcotic drug Marijuana-Skunk which was purchased from persons known to them and which is declared a narcotic drug by regulation thus its trafficking is prohibited in BiH.
On that day, the aforementioned accused persons have set out, in two motor vehicles, from the municipality of Bužim towards the Republic of Croatia and to the international border crossing Novi Grad. Inside the vehicle driven by the accused A.A. was a bag containing narcotic drug Skunk-Marijuana. When they arrived close to Novi Grad one of the motor vehicles broke down. The accused then stopped both vehicles at an expansion and the BiH Border Police Patrol from Dobrljin arrived shortly.
In order to avoid vehicle inspection the accused A.A. escaped the scene by way of starting the engine of the vehicle and suddenly divining off thus forcing a policeman to throw himself aside in order to avoid being hit by A.A's vehicle. By doing so the, accused A.A. used force to prevent an official persons in exercise of official duty.
Later on the accused A.A. and D.A. threw away the narcotic drug and returned to the scene. Police officers searched the area, with the help of a sniffing dog, and found a bag containing about 14.5 kilograms of narcotics that was thrown away from the vehicle.
All of the accused persons are charged with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph 2 of the CC BiH, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH, in conjunction with Article 26 of the CC BiH; the first accused A.A. is also charged with having committed the criminal offense of Preventing Official Person in the Exercise of Official Duty under Article 241a of the CC BiH.
Two accused persons: A. A. and D. A. are remanded in custody.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
