EXCAVATIONS WITHIN THE EXHUMATION PROCESS CARRIED OUT AT THE LOCATIONS OF TOMAŠICA AND BUĆA POTOK. ONE MICRO-LOCATION SITUATED NEAR THE MAIN MASS GRAVE SITE IS BEING PROBED AT TOMAŠICA

Despite unfavorable weather conditions the efforts on the exhumation sites Tomašica located in the area of Prijedor and Buća Potok located in the Sarajevo municipality of Novi Grad continued without delays.

At the location of Tomašica in Prijedor municipality excavations are carried out at a new micro-location situated near the primary mass grave site. Traces found here match the traces found at the primary mass grave site, hence the search for mortal remains shall continue at this location as well.

At the location of Buća Potok in the municipality of Novi Grad - Sarajevo the efforts continued despite the difficult weather conditions Excavation and examination of the area has went as far as 30 meters in depth.

All of the exhumations are constantly attended by the investigators of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, who coordinate the activities of all persons involved in the process of exhumations.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as well as other institutions involved in the process of exhumations, is undertaking intensive activities to secure the locations and organize the process of excavation of the victims and their further forensic processing and identity verification.
