The accused is charged with having participated in the preparation and cultivation of Marijuana "Skunk" in large quantities, under special conditions which required construction and equipment. The indictment proposes forfeiture of ill-gotten gain in the amount of BAM 14.000.
Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption issued an indictment against Dušan Vasilić, born on August 3, 1976 in Bijeljina, citizen of BiH and the Swiss Confederation.
The accused is charged to have, during the period from March to August 2012 in the aim to obtain benefits, organized a group of people for production of Cannabis in the Republic of Serbia and its further smuggling and sale in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
The accused is charged to have, in agreement with other persons, funded construction project in the area of Očage - in the Republic of Serbia, where special equipment for the production of narcotic drugs was installed and to have hired people to monitor and carry out the cultivation and processing of marijuana.
During the search performed by police authorities of the Republic of Serbia about 5.6 kilograms of Marijuana packed in paper bags as well as flowers and stems in the amount of 39 kilograms, the value of which on the illegal drug market is estimated to tens of thousands BAM, were detected. Vasilić's accomplices were arrested and prosecuted before the Court in Šabac- Republic of Serbia.
In this particular case, Prosecutor Oleg Čavka proposed forfeiture of ill-gotten gain in the form of large amounts of money i.e. Euro and CHF with a total of approximately BAM 14.000.
Significant cooperation in the fight against international drug smuggling was achieved in this case with judicial and police authorities of the Republic of Serbia.
The accused Dušan Vasilić is charged with having organized a group of people engaged in production of narcotic drugs in the territory of another State with the aim of selling narcotics in BiH, hence committing the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
