The tracing of mortal remains and the exhumation that is taking place on the site of a landfill in the Sarajevo settlement - Buća Potok has been intensified with engagement of additional equipment in order to expedite the efforts.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH and other institutions involved in the process will invest the maximum of efforts in the future in the search for the remains of Serb war crime victims from the area of Sarajevo.
Efforts have been intensified at the main site as well as at the 4 near by locations as there is information that they might contain the remains of the victims.
Heavy machinery, used for digging large amounts of soil, will be used.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH views the process of exhumation and identification of missing persons as a priority in its work and has requested for more material and human resources in the next year for the exhumations in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The process of finding and identifying the missing persons is important for the families of the victims, who have been searching for the remains of their family members for decades, hence the exhumations shall continue to be one of the priorities of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
