The accused Robert Knezović – born on October 26, 1974, residing in Mostar, citizen of BiH and the Republic of Croatia, charged with the criminal offense of Illicit trade in Excise Products under Article 210a of the CC BiH - concluded an agreement on admission of guilt.
The Prosecutor proposed that the accused Robert Knezović be rendered a suspended imprisonment sentence in duration of eight (8) months by the Court of BiH that shall not be executed providing that the accused does not commit another criminal offense within the next two (2) years, as well as that he be rendered an additional punishment of a fine in an amount of BAM 5.000,00 (Five thousand Bosnian Convertible Marks)
The proposed sentence is in line with the role of the accused in commission of the criminal offense.
He is charged to have, throughout 2010, obtained cigarettes from neighboring countries without excise stamps from persons known to him and to have put them into circulation in his shop. He was prevented in his actions by the authorized police officers of the Federation Police Department on September 22, 2010 when they have forfeited a certain amount of cigarettes from him during the search.
By virtue of signing the agreement the accused fully admitted committing the criminal offense he was charged with by the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
With this agreement the accused confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued on October 1, 2013. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly and with full understanding and undertakes to reimburse the costs of the criminal proceedings in the amount that may eventually be determined by the Court of BiH.
Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial and the right to appeal the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH.
The agreement was submitted to the Court of BiH.
