EXHUMATION OF THE BODIES OF THE CIVILIAN VICTIMS KILLED IN THE PAST WAR IS ONGOING IN DOBOJ. MORTAL REMAINS OF SEVEN PERSONS WERE FOUND

In Doboj, an exhumation commenced under the supervision of an Investigator of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. It is assumed that this exhumation will be completed today.

At the site of Šušnjari City Cemetery in Doboj, an exhumation is ongoing and mortal remains of seven unknown persons were found and forensically analyzed; also, the DNA sample was taken from them. Mortal remains will remain at this city cemetery until the DNA report has been provided, whereupon the remains will be handed over to the families.

The DNA analysis of these bodies will be performed in the laboratory of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).

This exhumation is being attended by the representatives of the BiH Missing Persons Institute, representatives of the Republika Srpska Police, an expert forensic pathologist and an Investigator of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

The exhumation is being supervised by an Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, who coordinates the work of police, forensic and other authorized officers carrying out the exhumation process, in accordance with the instructions given by the Prosecutor.  

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of conducting exhumations and tracing.
