MOTION FOR REMAND IN CUSTODY FILED FOR TWO PERSONS AND MOTION FOR IMPOSURE OF PROHIBITING MEASURES FILED FOR THE SIX PERSONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN THE OPERATION CODENAMED "DOKER"

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a motion for remand in custody of two persons with the Court of BiH and a motion for imposure of prohibiting measures for six persons suspected of having committed the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250 in conjunction with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under  Article 214 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a motion with the Court of BiH to remand the following persons in custody:

- S. Lj (1965) and A.M. (1981) from Bijeljina, BiH citizens.

The above-mentioned persons were apprehended in the morning of September 10, 2013 by police officers and handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH where they were questioned as suspects by the Assigned Prosecutor.

Remand in custody for the suspects is requested on grounds specified in Article 132, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a) and b) of the CPC BiH. Remand in custody is, inter alia, requested due to risk of flight, as well as due to the risk that, if released, the suspects might interfere with the investigation, suppress evidence or seek to influence the witnesses, accomplices or accessories.

Following the questioning the Assigned Prosecutor decided to file a motion for imposure of prohibiting measures with the Court of BiH concerning the following suspects: M.P. (1983), J.M. (1986), K.J. (1977) and  J.Đ. (1966) from Bijeljina, and two employees of the Border Police - Unit Bijeljina M.M. (1971) and V.N. (1977) also from Bijeljina, all BiH citizens; asking for a ban on meeting with other suspects provided for in Article 126a, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph c), as well as periodical reporting to a designated state authority under Article 126a,  Paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH (reporting to the relevant police station three times a week).

The prohibiting measure of house arrest under Article 126, Paragraphs 1 was also requested in relation to the suspects M.P. (1983), J.M. (1986), K.J. (1977) and J. Đ. (1966).

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH and Law Enforcement Agencies continue with the investigation and the activities in this case aiming to proceed with the indictments against the suspects.
