Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office issued an indictment against Vjekoslav Šalić aka "Vejko" - born on July 12, 1974 in Rogatica, residing in Zvornik, with prior convictions, BiH citizen - charging him with the criminal offense of Preventing an Official Person in the Exercise of Official Duty under Article 241a Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment charges Vjekoslav Šalić to have, on July 28, 2013 at about 3:10 p.m. at the IBC Šepak - Zvornik on entry to Bosnia and Herzegovina while driving a motor vehicle "Opel Corsa" from the direction of the Republic of Serbia, failed to comply with the request of authorized officials who were controlling entry/exit of vehicles, persons and goods and to have instead threatened them with immediate use of force and prevented the official persons from BiH institutions in the exercise of official duties.
The indictment alleges that during the control the accused refused to get out of the vehicle and present documentation to the officer handling traffic regulation and identification.
The indictment also alleges that the accused started operating a vehicle while an officer was inside and has stopped the vehicle not so far away from the border crossing near a gas station ordering the police officer to get out of the vehicle or he will smash the vehicle in the pump and die with him.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
