The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a motion to the Court of BiH for remand in custody of the suspect Mlađen Kekerović (1968) from Trn, a place located near Laktaši.
The suspect is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and is suspected of organized crime in conjunction with the criminal offense of tax evasion, and a series of crimes in the field of economic crime, including customs fraud, illegal tax return, obstructing justice and other criminal offences which generated ill-gotten gain in multi million amounts.
Prosecutor's Office of BiH is investigating a number of suspected individuals and corporations in this case who should soon be indicted.
Remand in custody was requested for reasons stipulated in Article 132, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a) and b) i.e. due to risk of flight and the risk that if released the suspect could interfere with the investigation, suppress evidence and seek to influence witnesses or accomplices.
Motion for remand in custody was submitted to the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH shall continue to work on this case with the aim to indict.
