LARGE QUANTITIES OF WEAPONS AND EXPLOSIVES FOUND AT A LOCATION NEAR TEŠANJ. PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF BIH AND SIPA CONTINUE THEIR ACTIVITIES IN THIS MATTER AIMING TO DISCOVER THOSE RESPONSIBLE

Acting on the orders of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, authorized officers of SIPA and an investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH found a large quantity of weapons, explosives and anti tank devices at the site of the village Kaloševići, near Tešanj.

Activities are taken with regards to excavation and safe storage of weapons found. An extremely large amount of hand-held rocket launchers and explosives was found i.e. several hundred mines and hand-held rocket launchers excavated at the site.

As the evidence available indicates that there is a large quantity of weapons at this site, the Prosecutor's Office and SIPA will continue with their activities in the coming days.

Members of the Armed Forces of BiH are also present at the site. Engineering and demining battalion handles excavation, selection and storage of found weapons and military equipment in accordance with military regulations on keeping, storage and destruction of explosives which will be followed by a forensic examination of the evidence.

Authorized officers of SIPA are securing the scene and both the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and SIPA are continuing the investigation towards discovering those responsible for hiding the large quantities of weapons and explosives that were found.
