Prosecutor of the Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has issued an Indictment against Brane Marjanović, born on 21 July 1956 in Sarajevo, resident of Istočno Sarajevo /East Sarajevo/, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the allegations in the Indictment, on 25 February 2013, for the purpose of acquiring material gain, the accused Brano Marjanović arranged with five persons in the territory of Čapljina Municipality to transport them across the border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Croatia and later to take them to Zagreb, for an amount of 100 EUR.
As alleged in the Indictment, the persons who have arranged with the suspect Marjanović to illegally cross the border were prevented in doing so by members of the Border Police of BiH.
The Indictment charges Brane Marjanović with enabling other persons to illegally cross the border out of personal gain, whereby he committed the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons, as referred to in Article 189, paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
