Prosecutor of the Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has issued an Indictment against Nermin Korajac aka “Žuti”, born on 04 October 1973 in Bijeljina, resident of Sarajevo, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH, charging him with the commission of the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH, as read with the Law on Copyrights and Related Rights (“Official Gazette of BiH”, No. 63/10).
The Indictment charges Nermin Korajac, as a Director, with unauthorized multiplication of the works of an author, books and textbooks of various authors, by fixing them to a material surface, which was carried out on the business premises of the “KN” privately-owned photocopying shops in Sarajevo, and at the same time with photocopying the books and textbooks which were in a higher demand, all without the authorization of the author or other holder of copyright, or the person entitled to give authorization, which is contrary to Article 20, Paragraph 2, of the Law on Copyrights and Related Rights („Official Gazette of BiH“, No. 63/10).
As alleged in the Indictment, the search of his business premises, conducted on 27 March 2012, resulted in finding and seizing equipment used for unauthorized multiplication and photocopies of textbooks and books - author’s works of different authors.
The Indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
