The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Stanko JANJUZ- born on June 17, 1953 in the municipality of Bosanska/Kozarska Dubica where he resides, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina - charging him with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH, in conjunction with Article 29 of the same Code.
The accused Stanko JANJUZ is charged to have on July 3, 2012, in the area of Komlenac village in Bosanska/Kozarska Dubica municipality, crossed the border between R Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina outside the designated veterinary crossing in line with a prior arrangement made with a third party thus avoiding customs control and committing the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods.
As alleged in the indictment, the accused has committed the criminal offense of Smuggling of animals by importing three horses illegally and without authorization of veterinary and other authorities in a way that a third party has transported horses across the boundary line and where the accused Stanko JANJUZ organized the handover of horses in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The specified livestock was transported to Bosnia and Herzegovina without an international veterinary certificate.
The aforementioned actions are contrary to Articles 4, 7 and 17 of the Rulebook on Conditions of Import and Transit of Live Animals, Raw Materials of Animal Product, Animal Waste, Veterinary Medicines and Feed into Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BiH, No. 57/12) and are also contrary to Articles 3 and 4 of the Decision on Veterinary Inspection of Animals Moving Across the Borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina Official Gazette of BiH, No. 42/06), and contrary to Article 18 of the Decision on Veterinary Certificate of Health of the Animals and Consignments of Animal Products in Domestic and International Traffic (Official Gazette of BiH, No. 33/03).
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
