The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Frano VULIĆ charging him with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 173, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph c) in conjunction with Article 180, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following person:
Frano VULIĆ, born on November 23, 1968 in Imotski - Republic of Croatia, residing in Sovići a place located in Grude municipality, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
The accused Frano VULIĆ is suspected to have, during the war in BiH and the armed conflict in the territory of Čapljina municipality between the Army of BiH and the HVO, violated the provisions of Article 3 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Times of War of August 12, 1949.
In this period Frano VULIĆ was a member of HVO's III Company of the V Military Police Battalion Čapljina.
The indictment alleges that on July 14, 1993 around 2:00 pm, in the area of Čapljina municipality i.e. prison known as Dretelj Camp he, as the military policeman who was on watch duty at the hangar, located near by the medical facility within the Dretelj Camp, in which Bosniak men were incarcerated and of which he was aware approached the window of the hangar where the glass was broken and fired several shots from the automatic rifle at three Bosniak prisoners thus killing them.
The accused Frano Vulić is charged with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 173, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph c) in conjunction with Article 180 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
