CUSTODY MOTION FILED FOR THE SUSPECT MLADEN ŽDRALE

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crimes and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a motion to the Court of BiH to remand a suspect into custody for his involvement in several unsolved murders committed in the past 10 years in the area of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.

The suspect Mladen ŽDRALE aka "Pata", born on April 18, 1981 in Sarajevo, was deprived of liberty the night before yesterday in East Sarajevo by authorized officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA.

Remand in custody will be requested for the reasons stipulated in Article 132, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a), b), c) and d) of the CPC BiH i.e. due to risk of flight; due to risk that the suspect could suppress evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices in order to prevent the collection of evidence and hinder the investigation; due to grounded suspicion that the suspect, if released, would repeat the criminal offense or commit a similar one; as well as due to the fact that it is a matter of a criminal offense which is punishable by imprisonment in duration of ten years or more.

The aforementioned person is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and is suspected of committing the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250, Paragraph 2 of the CC BiH, the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 383a, Paragraph 3 of the Republika Srpska CC, in conjunction with the criminal offences of Conspiracy to Perpetrate a Criminal Offence under Article 247 and Preparation of a Criminal Offence under Article 248 of the CC BiH, all in conjunction with the criminal offense of Murder under Article 166, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph a) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Custody motion was filed with the Court of BiH.
