THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH TOOK A SOLEMN OATH

In the presence of the President of the HJPC BiH Milorad Novković, the newly appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina -Goran Salihović, took an oath thus assuming duty of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

 

 

THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH TOOK A SOLEMN OATH

Chief Prosecutor Salihović is a lawyer with years-long experience in the judiciary. As an expert, he participated in many processes related to judicial reform and legislation in BiH and held various managerial positions in BiH judicial institutions during the past two decades.

 

Following the oath-taking ceremony, the Chief Prosecutor spoke to the media and highlighted that his priority shall be to strengthen the institution of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, its efficient prosecution of organized crime, corruption and war crimes, as well as provision of technical and other resources required for the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

 

Deputy Chief Prosecutor Dragan Čorlija, Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH also took an oath at today’s official oath-taking ceremony.

 

Prosecutor Čorlija was appointed Deputy Chief Prosecutor on December 21, 2012 and shall assume duty following the oath-taking.
