An exhumation is being carried out at the location of Donji Reljići, on the territory of Martin Brod municipality. A number of remains were unearthed so far. It is presumed, judging by the state of the remains, that the recovered remains are not those of the victims of the most recent war but older.
The recovered remains shall be transported to the Identification Center Banjaluka, where a detailed DNA analysis shall be carried out.
The exhumation process was supervised by an investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, who acted in accordance with the instructions of the Prosecutor while coordinating the work of police, forensic experts and other authorized persons engaged in the process of exhumations. The exhumation was attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, operative departments Banjaluka and Bihać, representatives of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), forensic pathologist and police officers of Una-Sana Canton who have secured the scene.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of tracing and exhuming the missing in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
