Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Mirsad HASANOVIĆ, AKA "Neno" - born on September 13, 1975 in Bijelo Polje, Republic of Montenegro, residing in Sarajevo, with prior convictions, a citizen of the Republic of Montenegro - charging him with the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment charges Mirsad HASANOVIĆ to have in the first half of 2012 as the owner and responsible person of a copy shop in Sarajevo, illegally copied and put on the market, in two of his branch offices, copyrighted works in the form of textbooks and other literature of various publishers without the permission of the author or other copyright holder aware that those were illegal copies made in violation of Articles 20, 21 and 22 of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 63/10).
As alleged in the indictment, on March 27, 2012 during the search of his office premises a number of illegally duplicated editions of books and textbooks - copyrighted works of various authors were found and seized.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
