In the morning of July 20, 2011 an exhumation was carried out in Zavidovići municipality under the supervision of investigators and staff of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
An exhumation was carried out at the location of Mićine njive in Zavidovići municipality resulting with the uncovery of the remains of five bodies assumed to be those of ethnic Serbs. The recovered remains shall be transferred to the Mortuary of the town cemetery in Modriča for the purpose of the post mortem exam, forensic processing and identification.
The exhumation was attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, representatives of the Operative team for tracing the missing of the Republika Srpska Government, representatives of the Zenica-Doboj MoI and an investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
As authorized by the court expert the exhumation was attended by a team of forensic anthropologists of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).
The exhumation process was supervised by an investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, who acted in accordance with the instructions of the Prosecutor while coordinating the work of police, forensic experts and other authorized persons engaged in the process of exhumations.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of exhuming and tracing the missing in all parts of BiH.
