Exhumation of the remains of persons killed in the past war was carried out at the location of Nova Kasaba in Milići municipality under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
The remains of two persons, for which there is no information as to whom they might belong, were uncovered at this location.
The recovered skeletal remains were transferred to the Commemorative Centre Tuzla for further forensic processing and collection of DNA samples for the purpose of establishing the identity of the war crimes victims through DNA Analysis.
The exhumation process was supervised by a Legal Officer of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, a doctor working in the field of forensic medicine, representatives of the Tuzla Utility Company with machinery as well as police officers of Milići PS who have investigated the scene and secured the location.
Apart from the aforementioned the exhumation was also attended by the representatives of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of tracing the missing and identification of the remains in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
