Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a motion to the Court of BiH to remand the suspect who, pursuant to the collected evidence, is presumed to be a citizen of Serbia from Kosovo into custody.
The suspect was arrested yesterday in Sarajevo when about 6.5 kg of material that resembles the narcotic drug heroin was found in his motor vehicle. The material shall be examined by expert examiners.
Custody motion was filed on grounds stipulated in Article 132, Subparagraphs a) and b) of the CPC BiH i.e. due to risk that the suspect could become inaccessible to BiH judiciary because he does not possess the BiH citizenship.
Custody motion was filed due to risk that the suspects could interfere with the investigation, suppress evidence and influence the witnesses or accomplices.
The suspect was arrested in a coordinated action of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and several law enforcement agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and the actual arrest was made by the officers of SIPA.
The suspect is under investigation for a criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH,
